#12 - Seoul Street Photography POV - Euljiro 3-Ga

Yo! I've just released my first Seoul street photography POV vid, and to kick it off I cruised around the city's street photo golden zone Euljiro 3-Ga. The video was super fun to film, and to work out on a technical level. For my first time shooting miked up and with a double camera amalgamation, I think it worked out ok!

In this series on South Korean street photography, I'm hoping to show more than just the photos. I want to give a sense of what it's like talking to strangers, how to have positive interactions, and how to be invited into people's personal spaces and places. Street photography has the potential to be an overwhelmingly positive activity, one that encourages mutual understanding and closeness with other people, rather than the perpetuation of difference and distance.

The last thing I want to say is that in this video and the ones to come, I'm trying to offer advice that's applicable to your context, not just shooting in Korea. Hopefully some of the photo tips that work for me in Seoul, work for you wherever you are. If they do, be sure to let me know!

Here are the images from this mission, and the full vid’s at the bottom.
