#16 - The Technical Side of my Fashion Work
Shoot it’s been a minute since I posted here! I’ve been sitting on a ton of work, both photo and video, and I’m stoked to start sharing it~
This lookbook for Beslow was a ton of (very cold) fun. We shot on an outdoor infinity wall with nothing but sunlight and the bounce from the wall itself. This shoot was at the tail-end of winter, and despite it thankfully being a sunny day, the chill was pretty relentless. Kudos to the model for bearing it without a single complaint.
These images were all made on my Nikkor 85mm f1.4, which has next to zero distortion and just some of the best colour straight out of camera.
Technical Specs:
• Nikon D810
• 85mm at f3.5
• ISO 64 (to deal with all the bouncing light and direct sun while maintaining a relatively low f-stop)
• 1/1000 shutter speed (for the most part)
I’m going to try make a habit of explaining some of the technical stuff that goes into my fashion work as a way to help anyone interested in learning. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
